About ELL
Vision
To connect life to management principles.
The Thought
Originating from being a trainee at an Outbound Training program at Pegasus Center for Excellence, near Bangalore, couple of years ago, where management is taught through customized field games. Taking a cue from that experience and having a basic belief that case studies are bookish, the ideal would be an operational midway, a real value add to management learning was thought of. The product is the Experiential Learning Lectures (ELL), the brainchild of Sanjay Sahay, a senior police officer, also known for his public speaking in the field of technology and management.
Concept
Based on the premise that experiential learning when imparted is the right blend of management theories and principles and the practitioners experience out of project execution. This is superior to the case study method and turns out to be the best mode of learning at the decision making level.
Mission
The mission is “Management for All”. The strength of the management learning is in its all pervasive nature and not its exclusivity. Peter Drucker, the father of modern management was a firm believer of this concept. In India it seems to be lost in the shallow beach sands along the long coastlines. The thought ought to be resurrected and country ought to be made management education and practice friendly. “Management for All” is being translated into reality through lectures at the mass level targeting teaching faculty and students of professional colleges, who will help realize this dream and would finally impact the all sectors of this country.
Values
Values are reflected by the business model used. ELL runs on the social enterprise model on the guiding principle of social activism from within. Small expenditure, which is all that is incurred,by the propagator. The digital media in general and social media in particular provide the real cutting edge to this great effort.
How we do?
Primarily through lectures and some ELL publishing under the Dimensions banner, all unstructured and informal. All work being done is voluntary in nature and is done in the spare time available to the individual.
The Final Thought
THIS COUNTRY CAN PROSPER ONLY THROUGH MASS SCALE KNOWLEDGE ENHANCEMENT AND IT’S APPROPRIATE USAGE.
