An 1989 batch IPS officer is one of the most multifaceted Police Officers in the country. He is a man in the public domain to make change happen, which he has been consistently doing in policing, governance, management and technology. An erudite professional with a baritone voice has been mesmerising audiences from all fields for over a decade. Besides being a mercenary project executioner and a police officer with crystal clear deliverable orientation, he is a management expert, technology evangelist, thought leader, writer, and a professional public speaker. He is committed to disseminating knowledge to the GenNext to prepare them for the ensuing Age of Disruption. It would all be futile if we live in a Cyber insecure world and hence he came up with this path breaking initiative – Bangalore Cyber Security Awareness Initiative. Let’s hear the game changer – the man, the mission and the project.

S. Kumar, working as in-charge of Capacity building track in Police Computer Wing and he has done his master’s in information technology. He has done certification in MCSE, CCNA, VCP, CEH, CHFI, IoT and DCIM certifications. He was heading the Karnataka State Police Data Center and KSP Wide Area Network for last 7 years in the department and regular practitioner Cyber Security from last 10 years.

Artist, Art Curator and Promoter, Social Activist.
Shyamala Ramanand is a Science Graduate with a PG Diploma in Computer Studies and Management with 23 years of Corporate Experience in IT, Customer Service, Operations and Training and later gave way to Art which was an inherent part. Love for community service led to creation of “Akanksha” a highly varied women’s group of 400+ members to realize their artistic and creative dreams since 2014. She also raises funds for extremely poor cancer patients and disabled artists thru art shows.
Since this initiative is Multi-Disciplinary, she is currently leading the Citizen Coordination members to spearhead this movement, as she strongly feels the need to create a safe atmosphere for children in the online world.
Shyamala is supported by a team of enthusiastic citizens who come from all walks of life. They are Sowmya Muralidhar, Pooja Prasad, Hema Rao, Vedha Sreeram and Sapna Anand.

Rahul Krishna B , a student who is pursuing his Engineering in Computer Science from Bangalore Institute of Technology. He is Interning at Karnataka State Police developed a website for Cyber Security Program and Experiential Learning Lectures.
He is a part time tutor for high school and pre-university students and a part time councellor for students pertaining to academics.

Dr. Ananth Prabhu G, 33 years old is an author, software engineer, motivational speaker, TV host and educator. BE in Computer Science, MBA in Information Science and MTech in Computer Science from Manipal University, Diploma in Cyber Laws, PhD in Computer Engineering and Post-Doctoral Studies from University of Central Florida.
He is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management. He has authored two very popular motivational books for Students and Teachers- Little Black Book. His third book is a fictional story- I own the Monks Ferrari and the Fourth book is a spiritual thriller – the Text message That killed me. He has delivered more than 1000 technical and management workshops.
He is also Cyber Security Expert, the Cyber Crime and Cyber Law trainer at the Karnataka Judicial Academy, Bangalore and Karnataka Police Academy, Mysore since 2011.

Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma, Professor of Clinical Psychology, National Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences, Bangalore. Previously he worked for All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi. His area of specialization is understanding & management of technology overuse /addiction and developing assessment tool.
He is credited to start the first Tech Deaddiction clinic (SHUT clinic-Service for Healthy Use of Technology in India. He is member of World Health Organization expert group on addictive behaviours.

Dr Gitanjali Narayanan is an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology and a Consultant in the Centre for Addiction Medicine at National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore. After completing her MPhil and PhD in Clinical Psychology from NIMHANS, she did her Post-Doctoral fellowship at Washington University in Saint Louis, US. With over fifteen years of clinical experience, she has worked primarily in the area of assessment and psychosocial interventions in addiction, including addiction to social media.
She also has expertise in the area of personality disorders. Recently, she established PEDRA (Personality and Emotions Division of Research and Applications) in the psychology department of NIMHANS. She is involved in several international projects and has been a recipient of the prestigious Wellcome Trust Capacity Building Fellowship. She is also a qualified Dialectical Behaviour Therapist. She believes that we need to study the unique individual and personality factors of people to bring about changes in any addictive behaviour.

Mr.Rojo Shalom George, is a Ph.D Scholar in the Department of Clinical Psychology, NIMHANS, Bangalore. He is also a Junior Consultant in the Centre for Addiction Medicine, NIMHANS. He has completed his M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from NIMHANS, Bangalore. His academic areas of interest include Interventions for addictions, personality and personality disorders, psychotherapy and school mental health and well-being with a special focus on boarding schools.
In the past he has worked in the capacity of a lecturer of psychology in an undergraduate course and conducted training programs for caregivers in boarding schools. He is currently working on developing brief interventions for substance use disorders. When he isn’t working, he loves to go on treks, play football, music and read. He is also a movie buff and loves a good laugh.
